Sometimes you find inspiration for making a photograph in the oddest places. For this photograph, it was while our family was in St. Louis with our friends playing at the City Museum. This piano is sitting on the upper level inviting its visitors to come pull up a chair and play. It’s a amazing how great it sounds in the hands of someone that understands the craft and its beauty. I may not be able to play, but I definitely see the beauty in this old, rugged, wooden piano. So many times we place judgment on something that is old, worn down, and out of place, but this piano is still arranging its story. So, if you are ever in St. Louis come by and give it some attention.
